Rancagua is in the O'Higgins Region, in central Chile, with a Mediterranean climate of dry summers and winter rain: a land of farming valleys and vineyards, of towns with huaso (Chilean cowboy) and rodeo traditions, and of a coastline whose beach towns fill up in January and February. Rancagua, capital of the O'Higgins Region, hosts the National Rodeo Championship and is close to the El Teniente mine and Sewell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chilean addresses give the street and number first, sometimes with the flat ("depto.") or office ("of."), followed by the comuna, as in "Av. Providencia 1234, depto. 501, Providencia"; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Me siento estafado. No vayan.
