Controller of personal data
The operator named above is the controller (responsable) of the personal data processed through Local Chile. We handle personal data in line with article 19 N.º 4 of Chile’s Constitution, which protects private life and personal data, with Ley N.º 19.628 on the Protection of Private Life, and with Ley N.º 21.719, which applies from 1 December 2026 and creates the Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales, Chile’s data-protection authority. Tax information
Businesses that operate in Chile have a RUT (Rol Único Tributario) and register the start of their activities with the SII (Servicio de Impuestos Internos, the tax service). Local Chile is run by the operator named above, who is not registered as a taxpayer in Chile, so no Chilean RUT applies. If a Chilean entity comes to operate the site, its RUT will be shown on this page.
Consumer complaints
We try to settle any disagreement directly first; our e-mail address is given above. If you contracted a paid plan as a consumer, you can also turn to SERNAC (Servicio Nacional del Consumidor), Chile’s consumer-protection agency, at sernac.cl, or to the Juzgado de Policía Local of your comuna. To withdraw from a paid plan within 10 days, see the right of withdrawal.
Liability for content
We are responsible for our own content on these pages. Listings are compiled from public sources and from what owners submit; we do not check every piece of third-party content before it is shown and have no general duty to do so. When we learn of content that is clearly unlawful, or receive an order from a court or a competent authority, we remove or block it promptly; please use the notice and takedown process.
Liability for links
The site contains links to external websites of third parties, chiefly the websites, WhatsApp numbers and Google Maps entries of the businesses listed, over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any responsibility for that third-party content; the respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. Because the links are taken automatically from public business information, we cannot review every linked page; where we learn of an infringement we remove the link promptly.
Intellectual property
The content and works created by us on these pages (design, code, our own texts and the compilation of listings) are protected by copyright and intellectual property law, including Chile’s Intellectual Property Law (Ley N.º 17.336). Reproduction, editing, distribution and any kind of exploitation beyond what the law allows require our written consent; linking to any page is free. Business names, logos and photos belong to their respective owners; reviews belong to their authors and are reproduced under the terms Google offers. If you become aware of an infringement, please let us know and we will remove the content promptly.
Source of listing data
The business listings on Local Chile are compiled from publicly available sources, chiefly Google Business Profiles, and refreshed automatically. If a listing is wrong, a business has closed or a listing should be removed, please use the notice and takedown process; owners can also claim and edit their listing themselves.
