Overall, this hostel offered the perfect opportunity to properly rest after visiting areas around Puerto Montt. The staff are very attentive, friendly, and positive. I had some nice conversations with them and got to practice my Spanish even more 😁 They also told me a good bit about the area and recommended some activities, helping me avoid tourist traps. A downside is that the rooms have quite thin walls, so I could hear the guy in the next room snoring. The bathroom and shower were also quite cold (however it was around 7 degrees in Puerto Montt). Free coffee/tea and a clean room were a nice bonus, though. Thanks!

Tuve una muy buena experiencia en el Hostal Punto Austral. Es un lugar muy lindo, limpio y acogedor, y se nota la preocupación real por la comodidad de quienes se hospedan. La señora Mercedes es un amor de persona: siempre amable, atenta y dispuesta a ayudar, manteniendo una comunicación cercana y fluida con cada huésped, lo que da mucha tranquilidad incluso antes de llegar. Destaco también que todo el equipo que trabaja en el hostal es muy amable y receptivo, siempre con buena disposición para ayudar y hacer sentir bien a quienes se quedan ahí. Las habitaciones son cómodas, limpias y espaciosas, ideales para descansar bien. Además, cuentan con un comedor muy práctico, donde hay té, café, azúcar y agua caliente disponibles, y también horno o microondas por si uno quiere preparar algo sencillo. La ubicación del hostal es excelente, muy central, cerca del terminal (se puede llegar caminando), de supermercados y panaderías. Sin duda, un lugar muy recomendable, donde uno se siente bien recibido desde el primer momento. Gracias por esos días maravillosos de vacaciones.

El lugar se encuentra muy bonito, la recepción fue exelente, atenta en todo momento, ayudándonos, dandonos lugares donde conocer, la verdad lo recomiendo mucho, ademas queda cerca muchos lugares para almorzar y la costanera. Por otro lado se escucha todo de las otras habitaciones, por lo menos en nuestra visita. Guardaremos la ubicación para volver.
