Very old basic hotel. No elevator. Staff does not speak english. Good location on the main square.

I've been on 6 continents, over 80 countries and from 1 to 5 stars hotels. To me, this hotel has such vibes!!! You can hear history from the brick walls 😁 Great location, walking distance to EFE Puerto station, El Cerros with it's colorful street arts and museo maritime de Chile. Honestly, if the owners would just paint the front of the hotel with vibrant colors... It would be a photogenic building and a trademark of Valparaiso! Inside the hotel, it's very cool 😎 Don't expect a 5 star ✨️ bedroom but it's quite ok and affordable 👌 Highly recommend

Guess expectations are different for different people. I am usually pretty easygoing about accommodations but this hotel was really awful. No air conditioning Three floors up to walk No place close by to walk to safely for dinner if you aren’t going with group Front desk clerk doesn’t speak English No breakfast until 8:30, not even coffee. Very little served at breakfast - one piece of bread with eggs and ham and cheese. No fruit. A really creepy place. Worst I have ever experienced. Bed not comfortable. Pillows a slab of rock hard foam. Walls are paper thin Floors not clean

This is one of the more interesting hotels I a have ever stayed. It is a Victorian era hotel. Antique style photographs of British Monarchy hang over the doors of the rooms. The rooms were simple and plain. Price is budget friendly and location is great. The spiral staircase is quite unique.
