Perfectly serviceable hostel for those in transit. My bus to city was extremely late, I messaged the property, hostess responded promptly. I arrived 19 minutes before closing. No, the property can't store bags--there's no space. So use the bus station lockers if you must. Why some people complain about this, I cannot understand. Hostess serves a simple but nice breakfast. She's a wonderful person just trying to run a business for backpackers. I am grateful for her services, and recommend this hostel 100%

I made my booking here but I did not eventually stay here after my arrival, largely because of the host. The host did not respond to my check-in time requests (7pm - 8pm, which would be reasonable and allowed per their listing on Booking) and when I arrived I found no one with no instructions for check-in. Nobody answered the doorbell and I had to wait in the rain… Eventually I had to ask a guest to let me in who was sitting in the kitchen. Finally the host came after half an hour, and she then quite rudely accused me of being unkind and disrespectful for asking her to return from her shopping and to do the check-in. The host didn’t let me know in advance of any of these changes, and as a hostel not a homestay she has quite insisted on the guest following her schedule that is not agreed upon in advance, or has been conveyed to the guest in any form. I did not find myself comfortable with that and I stayed at an alternative hotel eventually. The location is alright and very close to the promenade and shopping malls.

Hostel isn't super cheap but I didn't go in with high expectations. Rooms are fine, if not a bit small, top bunks have minimal room. Kitchen is decently equipped but small for the size of the hostel. Bathrooms have hot water and are clean enough. Location is ok but a little out of the way to get to. Thing that brings the score down is the general rudeness and disinterest of the owner, and the number of associated rules that are in place. It is not so much a hostel but more of borrowing a room in the owners house. No use of the kitchen outside of specific times, no use of showers early or late, no bag storage, you must use lockers in the rooms despite the locks on some not closing properly. Overall no flexibility or attempts to help with anything outside of strict prescribed use of the accomodation that you might expect with normal hostels.

A wonderful hostel to stay at. The owner is so nice and friendly and really made me feel at home. The beds in the dorm were very comfortable and the room was spacious. Showers and toilet facilities are excellent too. There is a kitchen on site to use and the free breakfast was delicious! A very clean place with a nice, calm atmosphere. It is close to a large supermarket, a huge shopping centre and the main central area of town. I absolutely loved my stay here and would definitely come back. 10/10! Thank you!
