In Chile lunch is the main meal of the day, roughly from 13:00 to 15:00, once (afternoon tea) comes between 17:00 and 19:00 and dinner rarely starts before 20:30, busiest at weekends. At lunchtime many places serve a menú del día (set lunch), the bill shows a suggested 10% tip that is voluntary, and in the cities almost everything can be ordered for delivery through PedidosYa, Uber Eats or Rappi. Burger bars rely heavily on delivery through PedidosYa, Uber Eats or Rappi; at night, at weekends and on rainy days delivery times stretch, so order with time to spare.

Quilpué is in the Valparaíso Region, in central Chile, with a Mediterranean climate of dry summers and winter rain: a land of farming valleys and vineyards, of towns with huaso (Chilean cowboy) and rodeo traditions, and of a coastline whose beach towns fill up in January and February. The Valparaíso Region combines port, beaches and valleys: Valparaíso and Viña del Mar form Greater Valparaíso, the central coast runs from Zapallar and Papudo to Algarrobo and Cartagena, the Casablanca and Aconcagua valleys are wine country, and Rapa Nui (Easter Island) and the Juan Fernández archipelago also belong to the region. Chilean addresses give the street and number first, sometimes with the flat ("depto.") or office ("of."), followed by the comuna, as in "Av. Providencia 1234, depto. 501, Providencia"; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.
