I found all I needed.

More like 3.5 stars… I recently visited Lider, the South American equivalent of Walmart, and was pleased with my experience. The store in Puente Alto, Santiago Chile was clean and well-maintained, with reasonable prices and a great selection of products. However, the store could use more staff as the checkout lines tended to be long. One important note for American visitors is that you will need to bring or purchase your own bags at Lider, as they are not provided for free. Additionally, you will need to weigh your own produce before checking out. I found Lider to be a much better option than the nearby Jumbo, which has slightly better reviews. One reason is that Lider has ample parking. It's location is also in a shopping center with other stores. Overall, I would recommend Lider for anyone looking for a good shopping experience in Santiago.
