If you only get the chance to eat in one restaurant in Chile, make it this one! Authentic local food, full of Mapuche tradition and love. The “limited” menu they told us they had was actually full of options and we had difficulty choosing because everything sounded so good. Between two of us we got the sopaipillas and the pil pil de champiñón to start, and the charwua poñy (breaded and seasoned fish, crispy and melt-in-your-mouth rustic potatoes and the most delicious full salad) and the ilo mote (beef with mushroom risotto). It was so good we finished off everything and brought the sopaipillas with us. To drink we had the lawentuchafe and maqui sours and ordered seconds of these as they were delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff attentive, friendly and funny. We loved the whole experience, especially me, being a tourist. The only feedback on the food is that the ilo mote could have a little more flavour, and the fish batter could have been crispier. Otherwise 5/5!
