For anything on wheels, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Before a road trip check tyres, brakes and lights; the concession highways have tolls, 93, 95 and 97 petrol and diesel are sold at stations of several brands, and in the north, the mountains and along the Carretera Austral there can be long stretches without services. Ask for a quote before work starts and whether parts are original or aftermarket; before the annual roadworthiness test (revisión técnica) and before the holidays, have brakes, tyres, lights and battery checked.

The business lists hours for six days of the week. The most common schedule is 9:00–13:00 and 14:15–18:30. Like many businesses outside Santiago, it closes at lunchtime and reopens in the afternoon.
