Shops in Chile open roughly from 10:00 to 20:00, and in smaller towns many close for a while at lunchtime; malls and supermarkets open every day, Sundays included. On 1 January, 1 May, 18 and 19 September and 25 December, the mandatory retail holidays (feriados irrenunciables), malls and almost all shops close. Always ask for your receipt (boleta), and check exchange and return terms before paying. At furniture shops ask about manufacturing and delivery times and whether delivery and assembly are included; if you live in a flat, measure the lift and stairs before buying.

Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. The most common schedule is 9:00–18:30. Hours may change on public holidays, at the Fiestas Patrias in September and over Christmas and New Year. The listed phone number is 2 2885 9588. From abroad dial +56 followed by the number. Calling or sending a WhatsApp message ahead is the norm for bookings and appointments.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 227 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.
