We were looking to try an interesting concept on our last day in Santiago. ChatGPT did not disappoint with this suggestion. A restaurant where you get a kilo of carne, and salad + fries for $50 bucks? Sounds perfect to me! I almost forgot about the entrada which was a sausage, that threw me back to my childhood in Canada with family BBQs, it was amazing, and free (price is right!) The beef was cooked very well to a medium rare. My wife loved the salad, she said it was perfectly sauced, and for the first time, she didn’t have to add lemon, salt or olive oil. The service staff could have given us more attention, but that could be Chile culture vs Brazil culture. They were very friendly, the place is super classy, and the price is right. Highly recommended!

Food and drinks were great. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it, 1 cut serves 2 or more persons, recommended to go in group and share different cuts. We had for our party of 6: 2 appetizers (butifarra and provoleta), 1-2 cocktails each, 3 meat cuts (0,5 - 1kg each), desserts and liqueurs for 50.000CLP each including tip. Atmosphere is very neutral, easy to have a conversation between friends. Friendly staff :)

I was very disappointed with my meal today (rib eye with bone). I had not realised that it was going to be so huge (1kg) but luckily (unluckily) for me 50% or more was bone or fat. The remaining meat had good flavour but was tough. I almost got blisters trying to cut it. The biggest redeeming feature of the meal was the service i received from Iska who was very friendly and attentive. Having said that she didn't ask how was the meal (I think she knew how bad it was). Quantity never makes up for poor quality and so it was today, the biggest steak I have ever had but one of the worst especially in a "steakhouse". I have no idea how the restaurant gets so many positive reviews and ratings. Just so disappointing. One final comment, the Maitre D' paid no attention to his customers at all. He literally just sat at the front door on a stool on his phone for the entire 1 hour plus I was there, whilst the 2 waitress and barman were working hard. Very strange.

Last week i visited this restaurant and i still talk about it to all of my friends, it is truly a unique experience in which i cannot really think about anything negative to say. We were served by Almendra, her attention to detail, friendliness and above all professionalism set the bar very high for whatever restaurants I go after this one as is quite difficult to find a waitress like she is. She explained everything clearly and in a succinct way, we tried the Punta Picana and it was grilled to perfection, the concept of a Kilogram of meat may sound scary to some but trust me, you will enjoy every second of it. I will surely return soon.

Kilu Casa de Carnes is an outstanding restaurant that truly sets the standard for quality meat in Santiago. The dishes are consistently cooked to perfection, exactly as requested, and the flavor and tenderness of the meat are exceptional. The service is equally impressive — attentive, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. Kilu Casa de Carnes is, without a doubt, one of the best destinations in the area for anyone who appreciates fine cuts and excellent dining service.
