I visited La Pampa today like I do every time I come to Chile. I was there with my husband, 2 kids and MIL. While dining, I saw the man next to our table was watching pornography on his phone. He was holding the phone up to his face while replying to a message. I told him that I could see what he was watching and to put his phone away. My husband then confronted him and told him how inappropriate that was, especially because our children were present. We called the staff over and told them what was going on. To my shocking surprise, they began to make excuses for Don Andres… claiming he is a regular and they were not aware of his “activities”. I would expect a person who is openly watching pornography around families in any establishment to be removed. Well, he was not, not only multiple staff members made excuses for him. They continued to serve him and allowed him to stay!!!!! I have seen people removed from public places for less than that! I will never be coming back to a place that allows customers to expose children and other adults to be pornography. This also speaks very poorly of Chilean culture. Truly unbelievable.

The meat was delicious. Good steaks, seasoned and prepared properly. The fries were a bit soggy. Service was attentive and especially friendly with the kids. The building is nice with a nice ambience with lots of wood and wine bottles. It was a Monday afternoon so not too busy.

We ate here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The place is nicely decorated and feels cozy. The food was delicious, we all ate filets. The only reason it received 4 starts was that the service was slow, there wasn't enough staff once more people showed up. Also, for such a nice place there were no paper towels in the restroom. I know that's typical in most of Chile; however, I would just expect better at such a high-end establishment. Definitely worth a visit.
