Not a site for typical tourist that wants everything 100% Clean and safe. But this market is an interesting place to the hour of grasping the local culture, and to the hour of getting fresh groceries, specially tropical fruits and Andean vegetables, with the added flavour of olives, paste and oil, and rather rare to get Andean tea herbs in packaging formats that you can pass by airport controls that here are easy to get and at low prices, where in North America and Europe the value of those same teas... In some cases they are from 10 to 20 times the local value.

Great adventure if you know Spanish or go with a local or guide. Lots of cheap buys on new and used clothes (likely counterfeit sneakers), home tools, food, etc. Must pay in cash though so you need to be comfortable with carrying cash around but avoid flashing it (not a dangerously place but it can get crowded and tourists might draw attention).

With it's new renovation it's more comfortable to travel ... It's new and modern stores outside the terminal is great and the variety of food is awesome

A great place to have a great traditional lunch. Here you could find dishes from Chile, Perú and Bolivia, and a wide variety of fresh fruit
