In Chile lunch is the main meal of the day, roughly from 13:00 to 15:00, once (afternoon tea) comes between 17:00 and 19:00 and dinner rarely starts before 20:30, busiest at weekends. At lunchtime many places serve a menú del día (set lunch), the bill shows a suggested 10% tip that is voluntary, and in the cities almost everything can be ordered for delivery through PedidosYa, Uber Eats or Rappi. Chileans eat congrio (conger eel), reineta, hake and corvina, plus machas (razor clams), mussels, clams, scallops and sea urchins, in paila marina (seafood stew), caldillo de congrio or crab chupe; locos (Chilean abalone) are subject to closed seasons and quotas, so ask what is in that day, and fish demand soars over Easter.
Opening hours are published for six days of the week. The most common schedule is 13:00–16:30 and 19:30–23:00. It opens for lunch and again for dinner, with the kitchen closed in between. Note that it does not open on Mondays. Hours may change on public holidays, at the Fiestas Patrias in September and over Christmas and New Year. Excellent space for seafood and fish. Great quality and generous portions. I used to go here frequently about 12 years ago when living in Antofagasta and went back just the other day while travelling on a business trip. The only change is that the place is managed by the son now but is still going strong. Father would be proud of how the quality in the food and service has been maintained. Will be back soon.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food was out of this world, the service was great (the waiter spoke both Spanish and English) and the atmosphere is unique (don’t let the hole in the wall exterior fool you). It is a bit on the pricier side, but it’s worth it for some of the best seafood food you’ll ever have.

Great food! Pictures say it all. I highly recommend the platter and the sea bass.

Small house-turned restaurant that it could be too crowded at peak time. Food is made to order from scratch so it can take some time to be ready. Menu is actually a list of the fish and seafood available but the waiters will lay you know all the ways they can prepared your dishes. Good selection of wines and dessert. Overall, very good. I liked it!
