Hotel Bonaparte

A little bit worn with age but it is a good location and friendly as well. We've stayed there multiple times over the years and been happy!

The best things about this hotel are the very attentive staff, and a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the facilities are ancient and not well maintained. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the A/C (see picture) was broken, noisy, and just not working well.

This hotel is definitely not rated accurately. I’m not sure how it qualifies as 4 stars, as our overall experience was quite disappointing. Our room was cramped, the furniture was very dated, and the bed had only one pillow with no proper duvet—just a blanket sandwiched between two sheets (see photo). The bath towel and shower curtain both had stains, the water pressure was extremely weak, and the room was uncomfortably hot as the AC didn’t work properly. The curtains also didn’t fully cover the window, which meant very little privacy. Breakfast was very limited and the hotel felt catered more toward locals, as we didn’t see many other tourists. If you only need a basic place to sleep and aren’t too fussy, it might be fine, but I’ve stayed in hostels that were much better maintained. It really needs a major update to justify a 4-star rating. The only positives were the courtyard with the pool and the convenient location.
