We chose this place based on the reviews, but unfortunately it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The issue isn’t just that the place looks old and dusty …the real problem is the food. The dishes looked unappetizing from the start and tasted even worse. It felt like everything was fried in oil that had been reused far too many times ..dark, heavy, and completely lacking flavor. Every dish was bland and unpleasant. Service was also very poor ,no warmth, no attention, just a “eat and leave” attitude that made the experience even worse. Considering the rating of 4.7, it’s honestly surprising. It makes you wonder what the standard is if this is rated so highly in this city… No offense to the owners, but this was far from acceptable. Paying €30 for two completely tasteless dishes felt like a waste. Would not recommend at all!

Delicious typical food. It is a three course menu, but the options are endless. Tried the machas à la parmesana and the pastel de jaiba. Soup, bread and dessert are included. I recommend trying the pisco sour. The service was top notch. Very friendly staff. Do not miss this place!

Great local restaurant. Serving is exceptional and the food extraordinary. I had Chupe de mariacos which is a local dish with seafood, in the oven with a sauce of cheese which was a delight! Every dish is 10000 chilean pesos. Highly recommend!

We missed this restaurant a couple days earlier because they close around 4:30. I'm so glad we tried again. Of almost 2 weeks in Chile my meals have been so so at best. This family run restaurant made extra effort in many ways. Service was fabulous and served promptly despite my poor spanish. They have a set menu $10,000 weekly. There were appetizers with a fresh roll, a light chicken consume, our meal plus a gelado? All very nicely presented and prepared. They have a lovely eclectic collection of items on their walls, We were so happy to find this place on our last night in Valparaiso.

A very picturesque old house restaurant. Full with little details decorating its walls. Flags, Valparaiso houses miniatures, old pictures, including a reminiscence from the past, showing two walls dedicated to ex president of Chile, Salvador Allende. An interesting place to be. The service was polite and fast. Friendly staff, bathrooms clean. Home made country side style Food, good portions for the right price. My dish was rice and beef and it was very tasty and tender. I asked for a fresh juice to drink. I've got pineapple. It had a weird taste. Not good at all. And when I came in there was a strong smell inside the house that i couldn't determine what i was and I took a table next to a window to keep it open but then the waiter closed it. Those 2 points made me score them 3. However, I would like to go back to try another option. Chilean Cazuela serverd to a table next to me it looked amazing. I would like to try it. And i won't ask for a juice unless it comes in a bottle. More ventilation is a must at least before they start the service.
