The food at ESTRO is excellent. Loco ceviche , beef carpaccio layerd over a mil hojas of potatoes. Wow. Shockingly good. The space is admittedly a bit underwhelming. Perhaps because it also serves as the breakfast hub for the Ritz so it lacks a bit of charm, but the food more than makes up for it. That it is quiet, that you can converse with your guests or friends, is a big plus in my book. So, I believe the 5 stars are deserved. Muchas gracias.

Great presentation. Great service.. great atmosphere. The server asked us how to have our Sea bass and Salmon cooked and we told him Medium Rare. Both fish dishes were dry as a chip!

I rarely eat at a hotel restaurant unless needed as usually they are average but this one had good reviews and usually a Ritz restaurant is worth it. The meal started well with friendly service and the Salmon tartare cones. They were delicious! The tables on the patio are wonderful. We ordered the salmon and the Sea Bass. I was particularly looking forward to having Chilean Sea Bass while in Chile. Ironically the salmon was the hit and the Sea Bass was dry. Also, after we chose to order just a glass of wine each instead of a bottle, our waiter abandoned us. He stopped checking on us and we had to ask for the check (albeit typical in Chile) after quite a long wait. Please note this isn’t a bad restaurant, it’s just not consistently great for a 5 star hotel. There are many options for good dining in Santiago, this one is average for fine dining.

We had a fantastic dinner at Estró. Miguel took great care of us! The empanadas were one of the best we ate during our trip to South America, the lamb was extremely soft and the vegetables with the pescado del dia was delicious. Would definitely come back and recommend Estró to friends and family visiting Santiago.

Dinner and breakfast (twice) were both great! The presentation, selection, and quality were all wonderful. The most impressive part was the service! All of the employees were friendly and personable. Miguel, our favorite server, made our anniversary extra special and went out of his way to make us feel loved and important.
