Very nice bakery, many different breads and pastries available and fresh product being put out throughout the day. A friend who lives nearby took us here several times during our visit to Santiago. I especially loved the sopaipillas, a nice dense pastry dusted with icing sugar. We did not try the cafe, the majority of the space is taken up with a busy bakery so if that is a vibe you enjoy I'm sure you will love it.

We came for a quick lunch after seeing it had good reviews. The staff’s attention was great, and the place was very nice and comfortable. The food, however, wasn’t a good experience. We ordered the same pre-cooked plate, which was poorly heated and had a funny taste. It wasn’t great—just meh. We paid and left. A few hours later, we both got severe food poisoning. For the price, I would have expected much better quality control. I can’t speak for the sweet bakery items since we only had one of their lunch plates. I would give more stars for the service, but serving food in a bad state is very unprofessional. It’s the last thing I want to experience in a place like this. 1/5

Lovely bakery / restaurent.The breakfast options of huevos pochados was just fantastic and very good value. Best in Santiago .Would recommend Lo Saldes and will return again.

Lo Saldes has great empanadas de pino and other traditional Chilean baked goods and food. We stayed at an apartment nearby for 2 weeks last year and this was our go-to place for a quick but delicious bite to eat. I am a big fan of Lo Saldes, and would recommend them to everyone.
