The views and beachfront location are outstanding, but unfortunately that's where most of the value ends. The property is very poorly maintained. Despite promoting sustainability, it seems more like a surf lodge than a premium hotel and definitely not designed for long term durability. Service was inconsistent, with the breakfast staff being only really friendly and night shift on 30th of May. The breakfast was ok, but nothing spectacular, also if you don’t like instant coffee or french press you are at the wrong place. The receptionist on the evening of May 30 at around 17.30 (before the night shift) was quite rude. Also the next morning we politely asked whether a late checkout might be possible. The receptionist immediately replied that it would cost 50% of the room rate. I then asked whether they could grant an one-hour extension, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. She stated that housekeeping would not have enough time because the hotel was fully booked. However, after checking availability online, it was clear that this was not the case. Complete lack of flexibility and hospitality. This hotel is probably one of the very few things to visit in Arica off season. Amazing view slightly away from the city. It's a nice and quiet place with an amazing view.

I'm probably being generous with this rating but I really liked this hotel. The rooms are slightly rustic but really tastefully done. Even though the room feels slightly weathered by the proximity to the sea, it adds to its attractiveness. The hotel is outside town so not too much in the area but the walk along the adjoining beachfront is very pleasant. Very good evening meal and breakfast and they have a bar service. The restaurant area outside is great for breakfast. The seagulls are very noisy but they go elsewhere when the sun sets so you can get a good night's sleep. Would happily have stayed here for an extra day or two.
