One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in 85 countries. Imagine booking an Ibis hotel, expecting a basic but professional stay, only to find major construction work happening inside the hotel at 7:00 AM. The noise was so loud that it literally woke us up from sleep. What made the experience even worse was that there was no telephone in the room to contact reception. I had to get fully dressed and go down to the reception three separate times just to ask them to stop the construction work. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel under the Ibis name. After traveling to 85 countries and staying in hotels all over the world, this was genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I expect much better from a hotel like Ibis.

Clean and modern rooms. Comfortable bed. Powerful and hot shower. Convenient location next to a big Jumbo supermarket and only a 10 min walk from the main shopping mall in Calama. Stayed here for 1 night. Check in and check out was quick and smooth. Fairly close to the airport, plenty of Ubers available. Would stay here again.
