To be avoided A hotel without any management leaving some poorly trained employees to deal with issues. Hence, one disappointment after another. This absence of management and of professionals is felt in every part of the hotel. Front desk Although online the hotel boasts the possibility to pay cash in dollars, the undertrained clerks deny it and claim order of an invisible management. As well, the receptionists have no idea about the neighborhood or even about their town, therefore they are unable to recommend, or even simply give any information about anything. No bar: Although the place pretends to be a four-star hotel, it does not have a bar, which, considering the receptionists’ inability to point out any place in town, is absolutely unacceptable. The so-called restaurant, which looks like a cheap canteen, is also run by employees at complete loss, incapable of bringing even a soda and a piece of pie after it has been asked three times. Then, the tables remain covered with dirty plates and glasses long after clients are gone, showing, once again complete absence of management. I felt at home. The staff members were very friendly. Gracias! Modern room overlooking an enclosed outdoor courtyard. The amenities like restaurant and pool are available most of the day and night. Excellent breakfast buffet with the best pastries.

Stayed here for most of our vacation in Chile. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our Spanish was not very good, but most of the staff spoke some English so it made our stay easier. The food in the restaurant was good and we loved the pool.

Generally my expectations for "Express" hotels are quite low, but Hotel Diego do Almagro Serena Express surprised me with fantastic service, very comfortable beds and great showers. Absolutely worth checking out (or checking in)!
