Hotel Oceanic in Viña del Mar is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting this stretch of the Chilean coast. The location is a real highlight — perched along the rocky coastline with stunning ocean views, giving the property a dramatic, almost cliffside feel that sets it apart from typical beach hotels. Watching the waves crash against the rocks from the property is something you don't forget. Rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, many with views that made the stay feel special from the moment you woke up. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout, and the overall atmosphere struck a nice balance between relaxed and upscale. A great home base for exploring Viña del Mar and nearby Valparaíso, with the added bonus of falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. Highly recommend for anyone visiting this part of Chile.

If you are handicap don’t stay here!! My husband and I showed up to this property but my husband is handicap with a guide dog and they don’t have the ability to let handicap people stay at their property. They need to be removed from booking. I told them this is discrimination and they told me it’s not. I will file a report with the EEOC OR whatever organization that handles disabled/ handicapped people, because if they don’t let people that are handicapped people stay here that’s against the law. I told the manager he didn’t care he asked us to leave because they don’t accommodate people that are handicap/disabled. Horrible service, horrible experience. As we walked out of the hotel it was a car in front that had been broken into the night before so maybe it was good we didn’t stay here!!

We are a couple, traveling the world, and we are in our 60’s. This hotel was disappointing for a variety of reasons but first let me give you some background. We stayed during late February so off season for the beaches. We stayed (4) nights and it was over US $250/ night. For us, that’s a lot of money. The room we booked was beautiful… unfortunately that’s NOT THE ROOM WE GOT. Let’s start with some good things because some things were good. Although it wasn’t the room we booked you did have a view of the ocean over a very large bird pooped roof. But we could hear the ocean… and that was nice. The room was worn and old which I will talk about in a minute but I do believe it was clean. Now that’s a plus. The cleaning staff works hard every day and for that I was grateful. The room comes with a breakfast, that they deliver to your room every morning and it was good. More about this in the bad section but the breakfast was fresh, included for us scrambled eggs, guacamole, yogurt, a fresh fruit, coffee and fresh squeezed juice a different one each day, ham and cheese and bread and rolls. Hotel Oceanic in Viña del Mar is a great spot with beautiful ocean views and a really relaxing vibe. The location makes it easy to get around, and the staff are friendly and helpful (shotout to Benjamin). Overall, it’s a nice place to stay if you want to enjoy the coast and unwind.
